ABOUT BIOACTIVE®
Founded in 1985, New Image Group established BioActive® as its pioneering brand of colostrum and other premium dairy products for people around the world.
BioActive® colostrum and milk is sourced only from New Zealand cattle. Colostrum is unique as it is is collected according to the natural calving season, rather than all year round. This helps preserve cattle health and ensures the colostrum collected is as fresh as possible.
Our colostrum is collected within 5 days of calving. It is stored on the farm at 4oC until it is picked up by cooled tanker and transported to our dairy factory. There, it is carefully processed, pasteurised, spray dried and tested for safety and purity.
Every aspect of processing and packaging of BioActive® products is performed in New Zealand. Our colostrum is kept whole and unfiltered - none of the healthy compounds in the colostrum are removed during our process. Owning the process from collection to finished product allows us to ensure a premium product and brand.

History of Dairy in New Zealand
Dairy cattle were introduced to New Zealand by settlers in the early 19th century to provide new residents with dairy products. Exporting of these products began in the mid 19th century and by 1882, the world's first refrigerated shipment left Dunedin bound for London.
With an ever growing stream of exports, the industry grew into the multibillion dollar industry it is today.
